Losing Streak Continues for Blues with 6-2 Loss to Mariners
The Seattle Mariners got a strong performance from pitcher Ian Robertson. Elephant stymied the Memphis offense en route to a solid, 6-2 win at T-Mobile Park. The winner was Robertson. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Verne Craft. Reese Dayo earned save number 42 this season.

Seattle third baseman Chase Tuschhoff contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 197th hit of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 4-1.

"Ian made some big pitches when he needed to," said Mariners manager Jose Perez.

The losses continue to add up for Memphis, having now dropped 11 straight.
