Brewers Earn 5-2 Win Against Giants
|
The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a win at Oracle Park, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 5-2, in 11 innings. Starting pitcher Tom Neal played a key role in the triumph. Earning his 2nd save for Milwaukee was Quincy Normand. The Brewers now have a record of 79-82.
The most important at-bat for Milwaukee came in the top of the 11th inning, when second baseman James Weinkauf stroked a first pitch fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Milwaukee up, 3-2.
Weinkauf attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
