Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Montreal Expos got the win.

Montreal picked up a win at Olympic Stadium, bumping off the Chicago White Sox, 4-2. Pitcher Jonathan Greenwalt was a major reason the Expos emerged victorious. Montreal is 5th in the American League Sandoval Division with a record of 70-90.

The White Sox had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Expos going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder John Hunt came to the plate. Hunt hit a run-scoring double on a 2-1 cutter from Chicago hurler Kelly Biggs. It was Hunt's 31st double of the year.

"Jonathan did a good job of managing their lineup," said Montreal manager Mike DeBlois.
