Cincinnati got a terrific game from third baseman Isaac Lee. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Houston, 6-5. Lee went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. John Simmons was the winner. He's now 7-7. The loser was 34-year old left-handed pitcher Evan Frid. After today's action, Houston sits at 73-86; Cincinnati slips to 78-81.

Houston won the game in part because of Antonino Barron. The center fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Astros ahead, 6-4. For the game, Barron had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Barron said.
