Behind a fine performance from Edd Gagnon, the Colorado Rockies knocked off the Oakland Athletics, 6-4. Gagnon was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Rockies. R.J. Shannon earned the win for Colorado. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. Ian Graham, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Gagnon hit a 2-run home run off Gabe Terry. It propelled the Rockies into the lead, 5-3.

"Enjoyed this one," Gagnon told the Colorado News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
