Twins Lose By a Run at Milwaukee
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Milwaukee Brewers got the win.
Minnesota right fielder Cullen Hendricks had a good game, even if his team did not. The Twins dropped a 4-3 decision to Milwaukee at American Family Field. Hendricks went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Max LaBombard got the win, improving to 13-13. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Rogers Warren was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 32 save opportunities.
Clement Christmas had a big run-scoring double for the Brewers in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Milwaukee leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Theodore Tabat and swatted a double to center. It was his 28th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 4-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Christmas said.
The Twins have now dropped 5 straight.
