Angels Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Knights, 11-10
The California Angels overcame a pretty good performance by Las Vegas catcher Ralph Sicks, beating the Knights, 11-10, at Big Slick's House of Hardball. Sicks went 3-4 with a triple and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The winner was California reliever Alfonso Clay, now 1-0. The loser was Clay Jackson. Curtis Keegan earned the save for California, his 21st of the year.

Johnny Honshorst went 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk for California. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 10-10 tie with a run-scoring walk off Clay Jackson. It was his 52nd walk of the season.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Honshorst.

The Angels bumped their record to 95-61 with this win.
