Robertson Shines in 6-2 London Win
|
Wet weather did not postpone the London-Texas ballgame.
Led by Joshua Robertson, the London Royals defeated the Texas Rangers, 6-2. Robertson was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Royals. Timm Stephenson, the winner, is now 13-7. He struck out 5 and walked 0 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 1 run on 3 hits.
London took a 6-2 lead on Robertson's 36th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Phil Christen in the bottom of the seventh, propelled London to the win.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Robertson.
London is now 82-73, Texas 85-70.
