The Houston Astros overcame a pretty good performance by Atlanta designated hitter Dexter Greer, beating the Braves, 11-8, at Truist Park. Greer went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. Jayson Bail closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. Houston, at 71-83, occupies 5th place in the National League Torres Division.

Ray Mallory came through with a big-time hit for Houston. The second baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 9-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Mallory told the Houston Daily.
