Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Minnesota Twins and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Minnesota right-hander Roberto Bush pitched his team to victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Best Buy Ballpark. The final score was 4-3. Bush got the win, improving to 17-5. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Bush allowed 2 runs.
With Minnesota trailing 2-1 in the top of the seventh, Samuel Everhart hit a 2-run single off Pittsburgh pitcher B.J. Álvarez. It put the Twins ahead 3-2.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Minnesota manager Christian Gibson.
The win lifted the Minnesota record to 92-60.
