Ignition Lose to Twins, 5-3
|
The Minnesota Twins topped the Indianapolis Ignition, 5-3, in Eastern Region action at Target Field. The standout performance belonged to Minnesota pitcher and Hempstead, New York, native Theodore Tabat. Simeon Ayala converted his 14th save in 16 tries. The Twins go to 42-110 with the win.
Kenyon Kincy chipped in a 2-run home run for Minnesota in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Nice to get this one," said Tabat. "Wins have been hard to come by."
