Ignition Top Expos, 6-0, Behind Benedict
|
Logan Benedict pitched a gem in leading Indianapolis to a 6-0 victory over the Montreal Expos. By defeating Montreal, the third-place Ignition improved to 24-19.
Benedict was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 4-3. In 8 innings of work, Benedict gave up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 6. The Expos were never able to generate much offense.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Benedict.
