The Chicago Cubs pasted the Arizona Diamondbacks with a convincing 11-2 defeat at Wrigley Field. Ethan Wolfe was a prime factor in the Chicago win. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The second-place Cubs sport a record of 92-57.

Jason Saeger had a big 3-run home run for the Cubs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Chicago trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 16-year veteran Kason Faucher and punished it. The result was his 17th home run of the season, which put the Cubs on top, 3-1.

Arizona manager Jacob Thomas called the blowout loss "a real dud."
