The Fresno Falcons used a great performance from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Brian Hilinski to beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 2-0, at Savemart Center. With this game in the books, Fresno is 66-82, Toronto 81-67.

Shawn Roberts, who is tied for 5th in the NL in stolen bases with 36, took Toronto hurler Park Weidert deep in the bottom of the third. His solo home run put the Falcons on top, 1-0. In all, Roberts had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Hilinski told the Fresno News: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
