The Detroit Tigers topped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 7-3, in National League action at Comerica Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Detroit pitcher Julian Svehla. Svehla, now 13-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The last-place Diamondbacks have lost 5 straight games.
