The Portland Hops coasted to a win over the Vancouver Cascades, 10-3. Bob Reader had a good day at the plate for Portland. He went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. Grim Sleva earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 3-7. The win puts Portland at 79-69 this season.

Brandon Yupangco, the first overall pick in the 2061 draft, helped out the Portland cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the shortstop was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

"When you don't put the pitches where they're supposed to be, they hit you hard," said Vancouver skipper Orlando Navarez.
