The Buffalo Bisons topped the Newark Bears, 10-6, with first baseman Mackenzie Pierce playing a big role. Pierce went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Bisons in the win. The Bisons bumped their record to 64-48 with this latest triumph.

Pierce contributed in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Buffalo get the win.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Shark McGee told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
