Grizzlies Squelch Red Sox Offense in Shutout Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Pawtucket Red Sox and Maine Grizzlies get after it.

Right-hander Collin Gammons mesmerized the Pawtucket Red Sox while leading the Maine Grizzlies to a 6-0 victory. In 6.1 innings, Gammons surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed no runs.

Vinny Perry had a big solo home run for the Grizzlies in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Maine leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a curveball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Woody Sanders and swatted a home run to right. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Grizzlies ahead, 2-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said Gammons.

The Red Sox, at 54-55, have lost 4 straight games.
