Red Sox Take Tight Tangle
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Pawtucket Red Sox and Syracuse Chiefs came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Kristion Golson led Pawtucket to a win over Syracuse. The final score was 7-6. Golson collected 2 runs batted in, while going 2 for 4 at the plate. The catcher also scored 2 times. Pawtucket pitcher Woody Sanders earned the win, hiking his record to 8-5. Irvin Montano suffered the loss.

Had Hector De La Rosa not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, De La Rosa hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Red Sox.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Golson told the Pawtucket Times.

The Red Sox now own a record of 62-48.
