The Syracuse Chiefs defeated the Ottawa Oddballs, 4-2, at Victory Field. Syracuse third baseman Albert Pérez had a superb performance. He was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Levi Knowlton picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Yonelvy Herrera suffered the loss. Earning his 19th save for Syracuse was Konstantin Yeomans.
Ottawa had a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth. With no one out, A.J. Lee stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he hit into a double play. The score remained 2-0, Syracuse. The Oddballs never could mount a comeback.
