Falcons Take Home 4-1 Win Over New York
Fresno got a strong outing from J.B. Whitson as the Falcons defeated the New York Yankees, 4-1, at Savemart Center. Whitson, the winner, moves to 10-12. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. Woody Jones sewed up the save, his 44th.

The Falcons got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Seth De Fillipo. For the game, De Fillipo went 1 for 1 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season gave Fresno a 2-1 lead.
