Mud Hens Lose at Home, 6-5, to Birmingham
Toledo designated hitter Josh Schuttler was sensational. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Birmingham beat the Mud Hens, 6-5. The Barons upped their record to 58-47.

It could have been a different outcome for Birmingham, had it not been for Reese Neal, the 25-year old second baseman . Neal contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning to put Birmingham up, 3-1.

"It was a solid team effort," Neal said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
