Virginia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Philadelphia catcher B.J. Pelletier had a good game, even if his team did not. The Phillies dropped a 5-4 decision to Virginia at The Sparrow's Nest. Pelletier went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Edwin De Soto came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 4-9. The Black Bears, at 53-91, sit in last place in the Eastern Region Atlantic Division.

The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Vincente Proctor, Orlando Bomexi hit a run-scoring single. It gave Virginia the 5-4 win.

"The house was rockin'," said Bomexi.
