Lewis Slugs White Sox to 8-4 Win
White Sox first baseman Simon Lewis put his stamp on his team's 8-4 win over the New York Mets. Lewis hit 2 home runs for Chicago in the contest. Picking up the save was 28-year old left-handed pitcher Nakamaro Tahara. The White Sox win now puts them at 97-44.

Uriel Mitcham had a big 2-run double for the White Sox in the top of the fifth inning. With Chicago leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jeb Dollarhide and swatted a double to left. It was his 32nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the White Sox ahead, 4-1.

"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Lewis.
