4-3 Rangers Win over Cubs Evens Season Record
|
Roman De Gama was a vital contributor to the 4-3 Texas victory over Chicago. The Rangers second baseman went 3-4 with 3 singles. Elias Lafontaine, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Bobby Walker got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
The Rangers took the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Jedediah Graves banged a two-out single. Texas had been trailing 3-2, but Graves hit a first pitch fastball from Brayan Juratovac for a 2-run single.
"We put together a nice win," De Gama said.
Texas raised its record to 70-70 with the win.
