The Toledo Mud Hens picked up a win at Fifth Third Field, knocking off the Newark Bears, 5-3. Starting pitcher Drake Brezin played a key role in the triumph. Brezin yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 9-8. The 7th-place Mud Hens are now 45-60, the Bears 51-54.

Right Fielder Jose Cisneros made an impact for Toledo, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Adonis Valenzuela in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Cisneros went 2-4 with a triple.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Cisneros.
