Scranton Dispatched, 2-0, by Rochester
|
The Scranton Dundies got a sterling performance from pitcher Isaiah Charles, but the Rochester Norsemen still prevailed, 2-0. Charles came in in relief and pitched to 21 batters. Earning the save was Kelley Graser. He's now cashed in 28 of 30 save opportunities. The Norsemen, at 64-42, sit in second place in the International League Northeast Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lance Cook? The Rochester center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Norsemen on top, 2-0. For the game, Cook had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"Wins don't come easy," Cook told the Rochester Gazette. "They don't just hand them out like lollipops."
