The Durham Bulls beat the Gwinnett Stripers, 12-2, at Coolray Field. Lonnie Trester, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Durham reliever Ken Crawley picked up the win. Logan Gleason took the loss for Gwinnett. Durham goes to 59-45, Gwinnett to 53-51.
In the top of the second, Durham right fielder Blake Wong had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Wong stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 4-0, Durham. For the game, he was 2 for 6 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
