The Rochester Norsemen got a stellar effort from pitcher Rogers Warren, helping Rochester score a win over the visiting Columbus Clippers, 3-2. Rochester raised its record to 62-40 with the win.
The Norsemen got a big at-bat from catcher Jared Kennedy. For the game, Kennedy went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Rochester a 3-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Kennedy told the Rochester Gazette.
