Both teams had their chances, but the Wilkes-Barre Barons eventually prevailed.

Wilkes-Barre rode a decent outing from starter Kevin Lushbaugh to victory over the Gwinnett Stripers. The final score was 3-2. Everett Short recorded the save, his 3rd.

Though he did not get the decision, Lushbaugh did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 6 innings, until Wilkes-Barre eventually rallied past the Stripers.

After the game, Wilkes-Barre manager Jon Moody applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

With the win, the Barons improved to 51-52.
