Atlanta first baseman Josias Jaynes contributed to his team's 8-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jaynes, who is tied for 6th in the EAST in total bases with 85, went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Braves. The Braves saw their record improve to 22-19.

It could have been a different outcome for Atlanta, had it not been for Jagger Macon, the former first round draft pick . Macon contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Atlanta up, 4-1.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Jaynes.
