Oddballs 9-6 Victors Over Bisons
|
The Ottawa Oddballs defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 9-6. Right Fielder Rick Guzman deserved a large share of the credit. Guzman went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Oddballs. Mason Wells notched his 4th save of the season. With the win, the Oddballs have a record of 52-48.
With Ottawa leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Guzman hit a run-scoring single off Buffalo hurler Skip Schott Jr.. It was the 53rd hit of the season for Guzman and put his team ahead, 2-0.
In comments to the Ottawa News, Guzman admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
