Pawtucket beat Wilkes-Barre in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Randy Weich was locked in. The right-hander led the Pawtucket Red Sox to a 5-2 win against the Wilkes-Barre Barons at McCoy Stadium. Pawtucket now owns a record of 56-43.

Hector De La Rosa, who is tied for 3rd in the IL in RBI with 57, took Wilkes-Barre hurler Fulgencio Ochoa deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Red Sox on top, 3-1. In all, De La Rosa had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
