Norsemen Dealt 5-4 Loss by Buffalo

The Buffalo Bisons faced a tough opponent in Rochester pitcher Alex Poole, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Coca-Cola Field by a final score of 5-4. Poole went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Noah Beard picked up the win in relief for Buffalo, while Lance Kemp took the loss. The Bisons saw their record improve to 51-47.
Marcos González drove in one run for Buffalo. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Alfredo Rodriguez. It was his 45th RBI of the season.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Rochester manager Pierrick Gardella.
