Bisons Absorb 9-6 Loss at Orlando Grounds
The Orlando Wizards picked up a win at Orlando Grounds, knocking off the Buffalo Bisons, 9-6. Starting pitcher Dominic Bates played a key role in the triumph. Bates got the win, improving to 8-3. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Landon Bentley earned the save, his 12th in 13 tries.

In the bottom of the third, Terry Bryant delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Orlando catcher hit a 2-run single, putting the Wizards in front, 9-6.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Bryant.

The win lifted the Orlando record to 52-43.
