Dundies Beat Wizards, 3-2
|
In a tight tilt between the Scranton Dundies and the Orlando Wizards, Ashley Morales was the deciding factor. The Scranton right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Morales, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Earning his 27th save of the year was Jeremiah Masias.
Scranton used the hitting of Ryan Henderson to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dundies on top, 3-0. For the game, Henderson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"We hit some balls hard and didn't get rewarded for it," said Orlando manager Derril Schunemann.
The win elevated the Dundies to 58-35.
