Chiefs Slip Past Toledo, 5-4
|
Syracuse beat Toledo at Victory Field, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Sean Felton. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Syracuse is now 34-56, Toledo 48-42.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Syracuse trailing 4-2, Felton hit a fastball from Yannis Byron for a bases-clearing double. Just like that, the Chiefs had a walk-off win.
"This joint was rocking," said Felton.
