Grizzlies Lose, 7-3, at Raley Field
The 7-3 Birmingham win over Maine was due in large part to August Waggoner. The Barons catcher was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win puts Birmingham at 45-45 this season.

Joaquin López was 1 for 2 with 2 walks and was hit by a pitch for Birmingham. The 24-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off C.J. Cole. It was his 80th hit of the season.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Waggoner told the Birmingham Observer.
