Stripers Rebuff Barons, 5-3
|
The inspired effort of Wilkes-Barre right fielder Peter Harris was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-3, to the Gwinnett Stripers. Harris went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win cannot erase the fact that Gwinnett still has a disappointing 29-60 record.
Jess Granberg helped out the Gwinnett cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
"We ground out the win," said Granberg. "That's all that matters."
