Barons Make Wizards 7-2 Losers
|
Birmingham starter Joshua Wathen pitched well against the Orlando Wizards at Orlando Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-2. Their 48-37 record puts the Barons third in the International League Southwest Division.
It could have been a different outcome for Birmingham, had it not been for Wil Solís, the 34-year old right fielder . Solís contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Birmingham up, 3-0.
"Joshua gave us a really strong effort," said Birmingham manager Matt Baker.
