Big Day by Cromwell Sparks 7-3 Syracuse Win
The Syracuse Chiefs topped the Pawtucket Red Sox by the score of 7-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Wesley Cromwell. Cromwell went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Chiefs on the day. Sherman Cooper picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-5. C.J. Castle was tagged with the loss. The Chiefs now have a mark of 33-55.

Cromwell had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from C.J. Castle, he banged a bases-clearing double to center, giving the Chiefs a 6-3 lead. It was the 8th double of the year for Cromwell.

In postgame remarks, Cromwell said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
