Bears Handle Chiefs, Nab 6-3 Win
|
The Newark Bears dealt the Syracuse Chiefs a 6-3 loss at Valiants Ballpark. Ayden Taylor went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs. Kevin Laraway closed the game out for Newark, earning his 4th save. The win makes Newark 29-57.
Cade Davis, the Newark second baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 4-3, Bears. For the game, Davis went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Davis, "one at-bat at a time."
