Red Sox Losers, 9-1, to Scranton
|
The Scranton Dundies reigned over the Pawtucket Red Sox in damp conditions.
Getting a good performance from first baseman Dale Capuano, the Scranton Dundies defeated the Pawtucket Red Sox, 9-1. Capuano was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times for the Dundies. Scranton has a record of 54-33, placing them second in the International League Northeast Division.
Sebastian Elizondo had a big run-scoring double for the Dundies in the top of the third inning. With Scranton leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Kenzie Lackey and swatted a double to left. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dundies ahead, 3-1.
"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Elizondo told the Scranton News.
