Bisons Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Buffalo Bisons beat the Scranton Dundies, 11-5, in 11 innings at PNC Field. Buffalo first baseman Ewan Medina had an outstanding performance. He went 1 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Buffalo pitcher Ryland Warren earned the win, hiking his record to 3-4. Tony Eccles suffered the loss. With the win, the Bisons improved to 57-28.
Buffalo used the timely hitting of Ryan Wadding to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bisons on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"There's no quit in this team," said Bisons manager Rich Hernandez.
