With center fielder Avery McLean leading the charge, the Syracuse Chiefs defeated the Orlando Wizards, 8-1, at Victory Field. McLean was 3-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Simeon Leal. His record is now 4-6. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits for the Chiefs. Syracuse is now 31-50, while Orlando is 43-38.

The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Victory Field crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
