Clippers Beat Visiting Bats, 11-6
|
Columbus second baseman Kenny Merola played a vital role in his team's 11-6 conquest of Louisville. He was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Columbus. The Clippers are now 39-44.
Delivering for the home team was 34-year old first baseman D.J. Boucher. In the bottom of the sixth, the veteran first baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 7-5, Clippers.
"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Merola. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
