Late Rally by Red Sox Secures 5-2 Win
|
Pawtucket Red Sox starter Rupert Nava was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Louisville Bats, 5-2. Picking up the save was Rory Lunsford. He's now 14 for 16 in save chances. The Red Sox saw their record improve to 36-46.
Chiu-Yen Pan delivered a big hit for Pawtucket. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
Pan attributed the win to his team's "dogged determination."
