De La Cruz Hammers 2 Homers in 6-2 Win
|
The Las Vegas Knights beat the San Francisco Giants, 6-2, at Big Slick's House of Hardball. Las Vegas first baseman Leo De La Cruz had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Aiden Kuester was the winner. Over 7.1 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 5 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts. Las Vegas's record now stands at 25-15, placing them third in the National League Sparrow Division.
With Las Vegas leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, De La Cruz hit a changeup from Tony Lee for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 6-2.
Las Vegas manager Jason Geddis called it "a darn good win."
