Drake Goes Deep Twice, Helps Norsemen Top Chiefs, 15-8
The 15-8 Rochester win over Syracuse was due in large part to Rudy Drake. The Norsemen right fielder was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6. Elyaniv Segel got the win, improving to 5-5. He held the Chiefs to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 3. With this game in the books, Rochester is 37-42, Syracuse 44-35.

Isaac Cabarga had a big grand slam home run for the Norsemen in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Rochester leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Sebastian McLeod and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Norsemen ahead, 9-2.

Norsemen manager Rich Soriano wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
