The Syracuse Chiefs had to overcome a big game from Rochester right fielder Liberato Carrillo to leave Frontier Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 11-3. Carrillo was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Syracuse now owns a record of 59-19.

Lochlan Iacobellis had a big 2-run double for the Chiefs in the top of the second inning. With Syracuse leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Lucas Devine, who is tied for 10th in the IL with a 7.3 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 4-0.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Iacobellis. "And vice-versa."
